Adobe InDesign CS4 - Advanced Techiques — A 2-day course
Synopsis
This class provides the InDesign user the ability to hone their skills and move their knowledge of Adobe InDesign to an advanced level and also help towards the Adobe Certified Expert Exams in InDesign. In this two-day workshop participants learn how to use InDesign's precise typographical control, long document tools, and color controls. They create vector drawings with InDesign's drawing tools and master Table Formatting. They discover Automated features as well as XML tags for easier conversion of print documents for web.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Manipulate long Documents as Books
- Work with Tables inside of InDesign
- Create Interactive PDF Documents
- Utilize the automation features inside of InDesign
- Use XML to tag Document elements according to their Content

Graphic professionals who are already experienced in Adobe InDesign and want more in-depth knowledge of the application and the management of complex documents.
Prerequisites
Before taking this course, you should have a basic understanding of your computer's operating system. For example, you should know how to launch an application, create and save files, and copy files from CD and other media. You should also have completed the Getting Started Indesign class or have equivalent knowledge.
