The course starts off with discussion on basic concepts and skills necessary to configure Check Point Security Gateway and Management Software Blades. During this course you will configure a Security Policy and learn about managing, tracking and monitoring a secure network. In addition, you will upgrade checkpoint as well as configure site-to-site VPNs and Remote access VPNs. We will be using both the GAiA and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.

During the second half of the course we will be discussing the advanced concepts and skills to optimise the R76 Check Point Software Blade architecture. This course is designed to help maximise the performance of your Check Point security deployment with real-world scenarios including Identity Awareness, Clustering, Advanced VPN Concepts and VPN debugging. During the course you will set up multiple security gateway clusters, analyse network intrusion alerts and generate advanced network traffic reports.

Prerequisites

The requirement for the course is a prerequisite of a previous CCSA certification and/or 3 to 6 months hands on Check Point administration. If delegates do not meet this requirement but feel they have the relevant experience and technical knowledge then we will need the trainer to speak with the delegate before confirming a booking.

This Fast Track course covers ALL the contents of the Check Point CCSA 2013 and CCSE 2013 courses.

Examination

These courses help prepare for the CCSA R76 and CCSE R76 exams.

The CCSA exam #156-215.13 contains 90 multiple-choice, scenario-based questions. A passing score is 70% or higher in 120 minutes. The exam is based on 80% course materials and 20% hands-on experience with Check Point products. Students should have at least 6 months experience with Check Point products before challenging the exam.

The CCSE exam #156-315.13 contains 90 multiple-choice, scenario-based questions. A passing score is 70% or higher in 120 minutes. The exam is based on 80% course materials and 20% hands-on experience with Check Point products. Students must have a valid CCSA certification before challenging the CCSE exam.

The exams are not taken as part of the course nor are they included in the course fee.
