Conducting Cisco Unified Wireless Site Survey v1.0 (CUWSS) — A 5-day course
Synopsis
In this course, designed to help you prepare for the professional-level CCNP Wireless certification, you will gain a firm understanding of how to conduct a site survey. You will explore WLAN topologies for voice and data as well as location appliance services, and you will examine design strategies, including Cisco WCS planning tool, Cisco Spectrum Expert, and AirMagnet Survey Pro, as well as methodologies and project management. Hands-on labs reinforce the classroom instruction.
Course Objectives
After completing this training course the student will be able to:
- Prepare, plan, design, implement, operate, and optimize a WLAN
- Radio signal requirements for different wireless applications
- Design for data, voice and location-based services
- Perform a Layer 1 survey with Cisco Spectrum Expert to identify any interfering devices
- Perform a Layer 2 survey for data, voice, and location-based services
- Perform a Layer 2 survey for 802.11n (Greenfield Survey) devices only
- Perform a wireless site assessment and audit once the WALN has been installed
- Complete a site survey report
