Course Synopsis

This CTX1741AI course (also known as CTX-1741, CTX1741, CTX-1741AI)introduces administrators and other IT professionals to the operational theory behind Citrix WANScaler 4.3 and prepares them to plan a deployment and to install, configure and administer the product. This course also covers the information necessary to successfully install and configure the WANScaler Client and Citrix Branch Repeater Enterprise Edition.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:

• Identify the features of Citrix WANScaler 4.3
• Identify the limitations of TCP over a WAN and identify how protocols are optimized
• Determine when to deploy in inline, virtual inline and group modes
• Identify high availability (HA) pair considerations and identify router considerations
• Deploy a Citrix WANScaler and configure initial settings
• Create users and assign permissions, administer licenses and system tools, generate reports and understand logs, alerts and graphs
• Test bandwidth, configure bandwidth modes and schedules and configure tuning options
• Create a service class, configure QoS and monitor QoS statistics
• Configure and extract the WANScaler log
• Identify common WANScaler deployment issues and resolutions
• Test bandwidth and capture traces
• Configure the signaling IP address and acceleration rules on a WANScaler appliance
