Course Synopsis
This course features activities and role-playing exercise that will help you improve your oral interpersonal and small group communication skills in a workplace environment. Determine your communication style to help you capitalize on your strengths and improve your weaknesses. Have more effective conversations and learn to communicate your message in a way that is more persuasive. Recognize how you can use effective communication techniques to build trust and rapport. Learn how to communicate with tact and courtesy so that even negative messages are heard and difficult situations are managed with diplomacy. Assess and adapt your message to the communication styles of others so they hear the right message and respond in the desired manner. Use tactics to communicate up, down, and across your organization and understand that different techniques work for different levels of employees. Learn the value of planned alliances that will help you overcome obstacles to communication, performance, and ideas. This course will also help you grasp your emotional intelligence style and how it is important to effective leadership. Examine tactics to radiate a positive self-image to others.
