ITIL Foundation Bridging from Version 2 to Version 3 — A 1-Day Course

Course Description

The ITIL® V3 Foundation Bridging Course gives candidates a fast track route to an ITIL® version 3 Foundation certificate level of knowledge. This one-day course provides first-level training and is designed for holders of existing ITIL Foundation Certificates from earlier ITIL versions.

The aim of the course is to highlight the new topics in ITIL version 3 and the main differences from earlier ITIL Versions. Learners will gain a strong understanding of the enhancements to ITIL best practice brought about through the version 3 refresh.

Course Objectives

This course will enable delegates to:

  • Understand the differences between Version 2 and Version 3
  • Understand the key principles and models in good practice
  • Understand the basic key concepts in the service lifecycle, processes, functions and roles
  • Understand basic technologies and architectures difference

Intended Audience

Anyone who has an ITIL V2 Foundation qualification who either would like to upgrade their certification and knowledge, or requires a v3 Foundation certificate as a pre-requisite for further ITIL v3 qualifications.

Examination

The ITIL Foundation Bridging Course prepares delegate for the Foundation Bridging Certificate in IT Service Management examination. The examination is included in the course and sat at the end of the day. It is a 30-minute multiple choice paper consisting of 20 questions and delegates must answer at least 13 questions correctly to pass.

Course Prerequisites

Delegates must come with a good knowledge of ITIL V2 as this course is not intended to give delegates a refresh of V2. It is aimed to upgrade from V2 to V3 and explain what's new and what has changed.
