LPI 102 Certification - A 3-day course
Course Synopsis
A follow-up to the LPI 101 Certification Training course, the Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) program is designed to certify the competency of IT professionals using the Linux operating system and its associated tools. It is designed to be distribution neutral, following the Linux Standard Base and other relevant standards and conventions.
The training course will focus on Linux system administration and prepare the candidate to take the LPI 102 exam (the exam is included in the price).
This course is designed for a person who has attended the LPI 101 Certification Training course, has been performing basic system administration tasks and who needs to install, configure, and manage a Linux-based system. The course covers the two major Linux distributions (RedHat & Debian). This course is also for individuals who desire to take the 102 exam of LPI which leads towards achievement of Junior Level Linux Professional (LPIC-1) certification. Once both 101/102 exams are passed, the Linux Professional Institute awards you your certificate.
This is a three day performance-based course designed upon the job-related tasks a Linux professional performs. The course price includes classroom training, 1 exam sitting & fees, a customised course manual, after training support & guidance, lunch and refreshments.

Prerequisites
- Students enrolling in this class should have basic computer skills and prior system administration experience of any Linux operating system. They should also have a working knowledge of Linux and should have performed basic user-level tasks on a Linux system. It is beneficial to have taken the LPI 101 Training Course already, as the LPI 102 builds upon knowledge gained from the 101 course.

- Manage/Query kernel and kernel modules at runtime
- Reconfigure, build and install a custom kernel and kernel modules

- Customize and use the shell environment

- Configure and use system log files to meet administrative and security needs
- Automate system administration tasks by scheduling jobs to run in the future

- Fundamentals of TCP/IP
