Working Smarter at Home — A 1-Day Course

Course Synopsis

Working at home gives you the opportunity to control a large part of your day-to-day environment. You can add to your personal comfort and generally improve the quality of your life in ways unavailable to those working from the corporate office.

Ideally, working at home will give you an opportunity to improve your job performance, while, at the same time, 'buying back' some quality time in your personal life.

This course will enable you to gain maximum advantage by understanding productivity inhibitors and how to manage them. It will also help you to best meet your preferred work style for business and personal needs.

Course Objectives

Delegates will learn how to:

  • Identify the advantages, demands and drawbacks of home-working
  • Review realistic goal-setting and ways in which to keep yourself motivated
  • Plan 'your day, your way', without supervision
  • Identify your key time-management issues and how they relate to your key work objectives
  • Develop strategies for providing and controlling interruptions to your plans
  • Recognise your obligation under health & safety legislation
