Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional (CCIP)
Synopsis
The CCIP certification (Cisco Certified Internetwork Professional) provides individuals working in service provider organisations with competencies in infrastructure IP networking solutions. CCIP professionals have detailed understanding of networking technologies in the service provider arena including IP routing, IP QoS, BGP and MPLS. CCIP delegates will demonstrate skills in a range of functions from planning to troubleshooting service provider networks.
A CCIP certified individual will be able to:
- Perform complex planning, operations, installations, implementations, and troubleshooting
- Understand and manage complex communications networks - last mile, edge or core
Intended Audience
The CCIP certification is intended for network administrators and technicians, new to Cisco products and services, responsible for implementing and managing small and medium business networks.
Prerequisites:
Valid CCNA certification.

- Building Scalable Cisco Internetworks (BSCI)
- Implementing Cisco Quality of Service (QoS)

Re-certification
CCIP certifications are valid for three years. To re-certify, pass any 642 exam that is part of the professional level curriculum after 01/01/06. Or pass a CCIE written exam.
