CTX1301 Citrix Metaframe Secure Access Manager Administration — A 2-Day Course

Course Synopsis

If your organization turns to you to deliver a workplace that provides a secure, personalized access to anything or anyone in your enterprise – from anywhere, this course was designed for you. IT professionals will learn how to install, secure, administer and configure Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager to provide access to applications, internal and external data, documents, web content and services in a workplace that is tailored to each user's needs. Interactive instructor-led discussion and hands-on labs will guide learners through administrative tasks that prepare them to manage Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager deployments.

CTX-1301BB is a blended training course that includes the following:

  • Instructor Led Training course CTX-1301AI Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager:Administration
  • eLearning course CTX-1303AW Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager 2.2:Administration Update from Version 2.0

Learners are provided with an eLearning voucher access code that enables registration in the eLearning course.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Identify Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager features, benefits, components, architecture and system requirements
  • Install and configure Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager
  • Install and configure the new features available in Citrix MetaFrame Secure Access Manager 2.2, Including - Advanced Gateway Client, Messaging Synchronization, Alternate user Interface access
  • Install and configure the Index Server for MetaFrame
  • Install and configure Secure Gateway to secure access between MetaFrame Secure Access Manager and MetaFrame Presentation Server farms
  • Use the Access Management Console to administer an access center
  • Use the Secure Gateway Management console to monitor: Connection Information, Secure Gateway performance counters, Event Viewer activity related to Secure Gateway
  • Configure CDAs (Content Delivery Agents) to provide access to: The Internet, File Systems, Databases, Applications, Index Servers
  • Configure the Program Neighborhood and Embedded Application CDAs to provide access to users through integration with MetaFrame Presentation Servers

Course Prerequisites

Recommended experience in the following:

  • Systems/network administration in Microsoft Windows 2000 environments
  • Administration of Microsoft Windows 2000 Server or Microsort Server 2003
  • Administration of Citrix MetaFrame Presentation Server for Windows
