CTX6101 Citrix MetaFrame XP Presentation Server: Design and Integration — A 3-Day Course

Course Synopsis

Citrix access infrastructure software helps organizations provide easy, secure, and instant access to enterprise information and applications, while controlling IT costs and complexity. The Citrix MetaFrame Access Suite is access infrastructure for the on- demand enterprise. This suite of products centralizes and safeguards access to applications and information, and enables IT departments to deliver, manage, monitor and measure these resources on demand.

CTX-6101AI provides an in-depth discussion of how to design and integrate Citrix MetaFrame XPTM Presentation Server farms into an existing IT environment. This course segments the IT infrastructure and identifies various integration tools and methods based on MetaFrame XP Presentation Server requirements, best practices and real-world implementations. The objective of this course is to provide learners with the expertise and knowledge necessary to design and implement MetaFrame XP Presentation Server solutions while taking an overall IT architecture into consideration.

  • Outline proper network configurations for a MetaFrame XP Presentation Server environment
  • Outline printing models and identify integration points
  • Identify common tools to manage and monitor a MetaFrame XP Presentation Server farm
  • Design disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity

Course Prerequisities

The following knowledge and experience is highly recommended for the successful completion of this course:

  • Systems or network administration in Microsoft Windows 2000 environments
  • Administration of Citrix MetaFrame XPTM Presentation Server, Enterprise Edition
  • Passing score on Citrix exam 220, 221 or 222
  • Passing score on Citrix exam 610
