Clearswift MIMEsweeper for SMTP CMA to CME Upgrade — A 2-day course

Synopsis

This is a two-day, instructor led course which allows the delegate to install, deploy and develop security policies, and to configure, manage and support a MIMEsweeper for SMTP Installation.

This course will prepare you for the Certified MIMEsweeper for SMTP Engineer (CME) exam which included and taken at the conclusion of the course. It is intended for delegates who have already attended the MIMEsweeper for SMTP CMA course.

Objectives

Delegates attending this course will be able to:

  • Configure and use the Message Center to manage messages
  • Describe how MIMEsweeper for SMTP controls access to securable items, and how to secure access to the system
  • Describe how MIMEsweeper for SMTP processes messages as Spam, and how to configure the process
  • Configure and use the Personal Message Manager
  • Configure and use IMAGE manager to block unnacceptable images
  • Install and configure a multi-hose environment
  • Describe the configuration options for MIMEsweeper for SMTP
  • Use the System Centre to view the state of all the servers in a MIMEsweeper for SMTP cluster
  • View the details of the messages processed and logs generated by a server
  • Use the System Health page to monitor system performance
  • Describe how to troubleshoot the installation
  • Describe the basic system housekeeping functionality and how to use the backup tool

This course is designed for anyone who is responsible for installing and deploying a content security solution for SMTP-based email.
