Train the IT Trainer — A 2-Day Course

Course Synopsis

In today's rapidly changing IT environment, managers and team members are being called upon to train staff in software products - but how effective are they as training providers?

This course is designed to improve your ability to provide training on software products to less experienced users on a one to one basis or in a classroom. During the course participants will run two practical training sessions. The first will last for ten minutes and will be on a one on one basis. The second will be delivered to a group of trainees.

Anyone who will deliver IT training programmes or those who wish to improve their existing IT training skills will benefit from attending this course.

Course Objectives

Delegates will learn how to:

  • Describe a systematic approach to the identification and analysis of training needs
  • Consider how effectively users are utilising their PC products
  • Identify your role in the training process
  • Set clear learning objectives for yourself and the trainees
  • Develop and implemented a successful lesson plan
  • Describe the learning cycle
  • Demonstrate how adults learn
  • Design walkthroughs and exercises for trainees
  • Identify what makes up the ideal training environment

Prerequisites

Working knowledge of one Microsoft application e.g. Word or Excel
