Microsoft Course - Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 - Advanced Administration — A 2-Day Course-Course SynopsisThis course is designed for IT support staff who will be doing the day-to-day management of their MOM 2005 infrastructure. It will concentrate on best practise for handling management packs, covering updates, change management and creating them for in-house applications. It will explore the various ways of getting data into MOM via WMI objects and events, scripts and all the other providers. It will also cover long-term management of the System Center Data Warehouse and creating custom reports. The course will be delivered as an interactive lecture including many hands-on exercises, which guide the students through the day to day management of MOM, the creation of management packs, and the customisation of reports. Intended AudienceThe course is written for IT support professionals who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the MOM 2005 infrastructure. It deals chiefly with the maintenance and management of Management Packs. It is not suitable for the end users of MOM - the general IT support staff who will be using it for monitoring and supporting their servers.
