Oracle Application Express — A 4 day course
Synopsis
This Oracle Application Express course introduces the delegate to Oracle's Application Express version 4 software. It is designed to give delegates practical experience in using Application Express version 4, also known as Apex, for building web-based applications for an Oracle database and websheets for managing structured and unstructured data.
Apex version 4 includes all the features of Apex version 3 and is suitable for both Oracle Application Express version 4 and Oracle Application Express version 3 users. The course will be delivered using Apex version 4.2 software.
Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to use the Oracle Application Express development environment for functional application development for the Web. They will gain practical experience in building and deploying applications for the Web, in using Application Express to manage database objects and in administering the Oracle Application Express environment.

Prerequisites
A working knowledge of SQL and a basic knowledge of PL/SQL is required. Some knowledge of HTML would be beneficial but is not essential.
Examination
This Oracle Application Express course will teach the major topics required for the delegate to work towards achieving the Oracle Application Express 4: Developing Web Applications (1Z0-450) exam.
Before taking any exam, ensure you have the recommended experience. The Oracle website lists all exam requirements and these are updated regularly.
Exams are not included as part of the course nor in the course fee.
