Synopsis

This instructor led Red Hat Linux 7 for Experienced Solaris Administrators course is designed to give delegates practical experience in administrating a Red Hat (v7) system.

It will include such tasks as managing the network, managing software packages, securing the system, configuring dick space and accessing data on remote systems. It is designed as a fast-pace course.

Objectives

On completion of the Red Hat Linux 7 for Experienced Solaris Administrators course the delegate will have gained knowledge and some practical experience of various administration tasks including managing the network, managing software packages, securing the system, configuring disk space, managing system services and accessing data on remote systems.

The delegate will also gain some of the essential knowledge required to study towards taking the official Red Hat (v7) Certified Administrator (RHCSA) and later the Red Hat (v7) Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification.

Suitable For

This Red Hat Linux 7 for Experienced Solaris Administrators course is designed for experienced Solaris Administrators (version 10 or 11) who need to acquire knowledge of the key configuration, networking and security tasks required to administer a Red Hat Linux v7 system.

Follow-On Courses

Prerequisites

Solaris Administrators with at least 2 years experience of the operating system and software. Students should also have been involved in configuring, securing and troubleshooting Solaris servers.

Examinations

Targeted to closely follow the official Red Hat certification curriculum. The Red Hat Linux (v7) for Experienced Solaris Administrators course will enable the delegate to work towards achieving the Red Hat (v7) Certified Systems Administrators (RHCSA) qualification.

Before taking any exam, ensure you have the recommended experience. The Red Hat website lists all exam requirements and these are updated regularly.

Exams are not included as part of the course nor in the course fee.
