Online help systems are a standard feature of software products with graphical interfaces. However, online help methods have also proven useful for providing information in other areas, such as intranets.

It is not easy to create an online help that fulfills all requirements; users expect help to be useful and quickly obtained, and authors of online help systems must ensure that the contents can be maintained quickly and efficiently.

Online help needs to be systematically developed based on a predefined concept.

The class concept (Klassenkonzept) developed by Sissi Closs has proved to be effective. In this course you will learn about the essential features of a high quality online help and the class concept from Sissi Closs.

After completing the course, you will be able to evaluate and design your own documentation projects.
