Synopsis

This fast-paced, extended-hour, lab-intensive course includes the content of the VMware vSphere 5: Install, configure and Manager and are vSphere: Automation with vSphere PowerCLI courses. Delegates will gain hands-on experience installing, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere, which consists of VMware ESXi™ 5.0 and VMware vCenter™ Server 5.0. Delegates will also learn to improve efficiency, availability, flexibility, and manageability by automating tasks using VMware vSphere PowerCLI.

Delegates will be provided with the full official manuals for the Install, configure and PowerCLI courses. Please note, materials for PowerCLI topics will be based around vSphere 4.1 but lab exercises will be relevant to vSphere 5.0.

This course will give you most of the information that you need for the VCP exam. But it will not give you everything. To best prepare for this exam, use the VCP exam blueprint as a study guide. The blueprint includes the list of topics in the exam and references for these topics. Hands-on experience is also a key component to passing the exam.
