GBdirect In-House Training Guidelines

In-House Training Charges Vary from Course to Course

Historically, our pricing of in-house (on-site) training courses was standardised around a single daily charge for a group of up to 8 delegates, with an additional per head per day charge for extra delegates up to our recommended maximum class size of 12(see note below).

This charge structure remains the same, but the expansion of our training curriculum has had an effect on our costs, i.e. we now carry a range of courses whose delivery costs vary so widely that we can no longer offer the vast majority of them at a single standard price.

The basic daily charge for up to 8 delegates now varies from course to course, and the charge for additional delegates varies in proportion to it. Varied rates are undoubtedly less administratively convenient to us and our clients, but we feel that they are preferrable to the inequity of having some customers pay well over the odds to subsidise high cost courses for others.

For precise details of our in-house training prices please ring the training sales number shown towards the bottom of the left-hand column or use the training enquiries link shown on the right.

Our in-house training charges cover tuition, a full set of course notes and a reference text (where appropriate) per delegate. Additional rechargeable costs are the tutor's travel, accommodation and subsistence expenses.

Tutors' expenses are normally re-billed at cost. We encourage the purchaser to arrange for the tutor's local accommodation since this usually results in a lower overall recharge. Where necessary we will provide a fixed-rate expenses quote by negotiation.

In-House Training Logistics

We draw prospective customers' attention to the clause in our Standard Terms and Conditions which states that customers are responsible for arranging the logistics of in-house training. In particular, customers are responsible for (but not limited to) the provision of

  • A suitably equipped training room
  • Workstations, typically one per student, with all necessary software installed and configured
  • Student workspace, typically a table/desk top, sufficient to accommodate the workstation, keyboard, mouse mat, an A4 binder and an A4 notepad
  • Delegate and tutor refreshments
  • Visual aids: a whiteboard or flipchart, a projector suitable for connecting to a laptop computer and a screen to project onto

We may be able to provide equipment suitable for the delivery of in-house training for a negotiable additional fee. Please ensure that there is no ambiguity about this, if it is required.

We can provide quotes in other currencies if necessary.

Maximum Class Size

In extreme cases it has been be possible to stretch the size of groups to 15, but we counsel against such large classes for practical subjects, where supervision during exercises will necessarily suffer.

Training UK prices

For publicly scheduled training (individual places), see our UK training schedule.

In-house training for company groups is charged at a daily rate per group — see our In-House UK Training Guidelines.
